The team was making conversion decisions on numbers alone. They could see that a page underperformed, but not why, no heatmaps, no session replay, no view of dead clicks, rage clicks, or where people abandoned. Every optimization was a guess about behavior they couldn't observe.

I stood up Microsoft Clarity across the site: tagging, event configuration, and a first pass on what actually matters to watch, dead and rage clicks, scroll depth, and drop-off on the pages that carry revenue. Then I walked the team through reading it so the tool wouldn't just sit there collecting sessions.

The outcome.

The team went from flying blind to watching real sessions inside a week, the qualitative layer that makes the conversion data make sense. A small setup with an outsized payoff: every product-page and checkout optimization that followed had behavior to point to, not just a number.
